Reflection

Reflection Week 1
The Reflection Session provides participants an opportunity to thoughtfully consider and discuss key concepts introduced in the Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice.

Understanding how to formulate research questions is fundamental in medical research and clinical practice. The PICO framework serves as a valuable tool for structuring clear, answerable questions, ensuring that studies focus on specific populations, interventions, comparisons, and outcomes.

We also explored Evidence-Based Practice (EBP), which integrates research evidence with clinical expertise and patient values. Choosing the right study design—whether RCTs for treatment, cohort studies for prognosis, or cross-sectional studies for diagnosis—is crucial for generating reliable evidence.

Ultimately, applying these principles helps bridge the gap between research and real-world healthcare, guiding better decision-making and improving patient outcomes. By refining our research approach, we contribute to more meaningful medical advancements and a stronger foundation for clinical practice.
