Downloading Telehealth Software
Now is a good time to download and become familiar with your telehealth software.
For the purposes of the PEAK program, we use a service called Zoom for video consultations.
Sign up now by clicking the link below and have the program downloaded and running while reviewing the rest of this training.
When you have signed in for your first time, you need to KNOW your “Personal meeting ID” so that you can give it to each of your patients.
Zoom Meeting ID Room Links/URL
This link/URL can be emailed to a patient so that they can directly enter your meeting room. If the patient has the Zoom app downloaded on their phone, this link/URL can also be provided in an SMS and it will automatically open their app to the meeting (although it is always preferable that a patient use a tablet, lap top or desk top computer for consultations rather than a phone, if possible).

Zoom Waiting Room Feature
Once you have created an account with Zoom, you can turn on the waiting room feature under the Meeting Settings (in the left hand column) so that you may control access to the meeting room and enable a patient to join at their allocated time. This tool will prevent multiple people who have your meeting ID or Zoom meeting ID room link/URL from entering appointments at the same time, and thus is important to protect an individual patient’s confidentiality during their private consultation.
