Due to different kind of settings, projects are influenced by different factors, which in turn influence the way of managing the projects.

Some examples of factors/aspects connected to the project examples on previous steps i.e. manage a satellite project, Olympic game inauguration project, research project, organizational change project, construction project, and a mountain climbing expedition (project):

  • Complex organization management due to many people and professions involved (for example a satellite project)
  • Extreme high quality requirements (for example a satellite project)
  • Very strict time frames (for example a Olympic game inauguration project)
  • Challenging to define the scope (for example an organizational change project)
  • Difficult to set goals and scope (research project)
  • Extreme risks (a mountain climbing project)
  • Strict budget limitations and challenging resource management (a construction project)
