Instructions and goals for the cases
Northern lights over a snowy road and forest.

Now it is time to use the knowledge you have acquired in two fictive cases.

The first case is called The Nordic Adventure Project and the second The Wild Animal Camp Project. Each case consists of six steps:

  1. Read the description of the project and the project team

  2. Review the discussions between the project team to see how different team members and stakeholders feel about the project

  3. Analyse the project from different perspectives

  4. Compare your analysis with the teacher’s comments

  5. Decide if the project is a success or a failure

  6. Conclude the lessons learned

Learning outcomes

The purpose of this part of the course is to explore, analyze and make conclusions about project success or failure.

More specific, the learning outcome is to understand:

  • project planning based on a specific context
  • how and why project planning can contribute to project success or failure
  • consequences due to poor and insufficient planning
  • how a project case can be analysed from different perspectives.
