Sponsorship The Difference

AllBright. Sisterhood Works. Sponsorship the difference. Watch Lauren Maillian explains the difference between sponsorship and mentorship.

In this video, Lauren talks to you about sponsorship.

Sponsors are the women who are going to want to recommend you for something. Who show up in your life at times when you think no one is watching. They sweep in and can help you accelerate to the next level.

You will be surprised at the doors that start to open up due to your sponsor. When someone says, ‘I’m going to take my name, my title, my time, my position of power, of success, of access and I am going to make waves for you’, they’re going to put their own social capital on the line so that you can increase your social capital. That’s a sponsor.

Consider the women who have sponsored you in your life. Perhaps you might like to reach out to them and acknowledge the value they have added to your life and career.

Comment below and share with your peers the experiences you have had of either sponsoring someone or being sponsored yourself. Let’s learn from each other.
