Record and Playback exemplar 2: simile or metaphor?

This step demonstrates how Record and Playback can be used as a revision tool, as students must fully comprehend a subject matter in order to film it.

This Record and Playback was created to a brief requiring the production of a short film to help a class understand the difference between similes and metaphors.

Again you can see that even though the film is simple in form it is very efficient at acting as a revision tool for pupils. It can also be used as a whole class activity with students creating different elements.

You can imagine that by creating this film and going through this small filmmaking journey, none of the pupils will ever forget what a simile or metaphor is!

How might you use the techniques in this video in one of your lessons?
