Over the next two weeks, you will experience what it’s like to learn online at your own pace. This short course will introduce you to tourism and its impacts, as well as alternative tourism. You will be provided with the tools to understand how you might improve your own area of practice.
Throughout this course, you will:
- Define what is meant by tourism impacts
- Introduce and describe each impact including economic, social, cultural and environmental
- Understand that impacts are interrelated
- Explore alternative forms of tourism
- Discuss critically whether, and to what extent, these alternatives address the impacts of tourism
