Drug discovery helps us to fight diseases and alleviate suffering.

To combat serious or new emerging disease (e.g. cancers and Ebola virus), an effective platform for drug discovery is necessary. Today, high throughput screening and structural biology are regarded as an essential part of drug discovery because both of them can reduce the developmental time of new drugs.

In this topic, you have learnt how these technologies are involved in EGFR drug design. We recommend you go back to review the first video in this week’s learning(Introduction to molecule drug discovery) again. You may have more new ideas about the drug discovery.
