Although there are various kinds of stories, there appear to be two main traditions in storytelling.

Although there are various kinds of stories, there appear to be two main traditions in storytelling. The first tradition is the story about you, your neighbors, people; these are stories that resemble the real world. The second tradition is entirely different, stories that are more surreal in nature, with events that would not or cannot take place in reality. Can you think of two stories from your childhood which fit into these two models? Please share your experiences.
