  • I thing that the central point is tailoring his own teaching with the students needs.

  • I enjoyed “become a better teacher “ it gave me a lot of good ideas in my teaching. I sped a day a week looking for new material and new teaching ideas, also I use to share some ideas with my colleagues and receive some new inputs for my work.

  • Online Lessons have been demanding for me, I had to organise all my material before lesson to help my students to follow me in the best way.
Now I kept the same organisation, I prepare all my material like if I were in an online lesson and that helps me to be more efficient.

  • Technology helped me a lot but some of my students were using their phone, connection was poor and we had more than one problem.

  • During the pandemic I have to think about how to teach online. It seems easy but it is not. You may not play with your student and you must wait he/she finished a frase to say something. I could send emoji they love them!
But it is not the same like in a face to face lesson.
We were all comfortable in our homes but we had to handle with internet problems....

  • I like the way she described her teaching.
In my opinion the student must become his/her own teacher and the teacher has to work in that direction.
If I am working well I have to understand what is better for my students, I have to use my emotional intelligence to communicate properly with them and all my skills to make them to achieve day by day.

  • Hi, I live in Italy where I teach brass instruments in a British International School.
I began teaching in 1992, in the past 30 years I had the opportunity to learn a lot from my students.

  • I attended at the university in Rome, it was many years ago, now things have changed even here.
Seminars and lecture there were a lot of students attending at the lesson, probably because my generation we were a lot.
Now there are less students and teacher can dedicate time to help them in their studies

  • Yes, when I was teaching at university in South America, I had tutorials with my students.it was really helpful, because I could check how the students were studying and I could help them to prepare their exams.

  • I attended at seminars when I was a university student; seminar was like a lesson on a specific subject. I understand that now it is the opportunity that a student has to improve his/her learning, compare his/her work with peers and better understand the subject.

  • I have never been in a lecture in a British university, I attended lectures at university in Italy, but they were a little different. Students listened the teacher speech but they could not interact with him.
It was years ago, so I imagine things have changed.

  • It is a very interesting video, very clear.
I could understand the meaning of the word lecture and seminar.
    I had a different idea

  • Lecture is a speech given to a group of students or people interested in a subject.
Seminar is a group of work lead by a professor.
Tutorial is when a teacher helps students to find the best way to do a given work.
Independent learning is when a student has all the tools he/she needs to study successfully.

  • ‘Reflection
    Le’cture
    Ge’ nre
    Inde’pendence
    Auto’nomous

  • Strong enough to get better after damage
Someone with the same status or with the same age
A group of people with the same interest
    Involving communication between people
    Needing the help of someone

  • If I thing on independent learning I immagine a student who works hard, compare is ideas, but at the end I has is own criteria.

  • Americo Gorello made a comment

    Self sufficient learning is essential....

  • Government ruled is not the right meaning, not in this case.

  • Both dictionaries have the same elements but learner dictionary is easier to understand and to use

  • Yes I do, as I am not a native English spoken I believe the learner dictionary is the best choice for me

  • I think the monolingual and the learner dictionary are the best for me.

  • I guess the meaning of the word I don’t know, then I look at the dictionary to find out the meaning and compare my guess with the real meaning

  • Taking active part in your education

  • I could understand enough I think and I could compare with my ideas.
I have to change a lot of my basic ideas on students in general.

  • A successful student looks self confidence, curious and friendly.
Resilient is a new word for me, I never related this word with academic world

  • A successful student works hard and is really motivated

  • A successful student stays with his peers, he is curious, makes questions and doesn’t study alone. He works hard
