  • I think I'd tell him/her that I feel nervous, too, before presenting or giving a class. That is normal. All they can do is relaxing and doing their best.

What made it sound good were clarity in the speakers' aura, charisma, and the inclusion of all the elements that made up their topic. I think what the speaker feels about himself/herself says it all,...

  • Yes, yes, I did some presentations at university and in an English center where I studied English for two and a half semesters. In my first EVER presentation at the English center, I followed my teacher's advice, which I didn't include much information on the slides, but instead I only wrote headings and sub-headings attached to claifying bright images. I...

After that, let him him re-read again his topic in a quieter place, to understand it from a different perspective, then he can do a mind map, on which he summerizes the most important ponits and their branched...

  • Mind map and linear notes.

  • But in case Khalid has finished his three-month course, he'll need to move to a private accommodation, since he'll be joined by his family.

  • Khalid: Hall of Residence
He sounds like hall of residence is best for him, as the place will provide him privacy and direct connection to the uni.

    Arianna: Host Family
She seems like she really will need to be close to friendly people who will help her cope with these changes and support her weak language.

    Joachim: Private Accommodation

  • Mind map and linear notes are my favorites! I'll use them, as my finals are on Sep 11th & 18th. Thank you!

  • I'll act honestly. I leave stuff to the last mintue. Time management is seemingly my weakest point.

Friday is a study-day for Ahamd. He goes to the library to study with much focus, because he believes he'll never study well in his room for he will end up either listening to music or continuelly chatting online with his friends.

Kayo initially thought she had a great number of seemingly free hours in comparison to her schedual's timetable that is only...

  • The UK means English, means Royalty, means cultures, means diversity. The UK is a dream when it's time to visit it, my timing will have started counting for greater opportunities for me then.

  • I feel excitidely excited!

  • High five for all speakers in these videos!

  • I believe I should work MORE on phonetics.

  • Hello, Haya,

    How have you been, hun?
Ah, I am excited to share with you my latest accomplishment, that is studying online at Coventry university. It is an amazing university, excellently! I had the best experience ever. Studying online and in an English university has been a challenge for me. As everything was different to what I had been used to know,...

  • I'll pay more attention to phonetics.

  • Hi, @LeonorCampos! Thanks for reflecting back your thoughts. Have a nice day.

  • Read in the past sinple tense is pronounced the same way as the color 'red'.

  • Resilient: strong, tough, hardy, adaptable (I love this one), vulnerable (and this one), irrepressible, etc.

  • Learner's dictionary, yea!

  • For me generally I'd use them all. In the assignment above I'll check one of the three first dictionaries, since they give nearly the same meaning, but mainly my focus will be on the fourth dictionary. Subject-specific dictionary provides the accurate meaning in the field I am studying.

  • I kinda knew they would be going to highlight some universally agreed-upon traits the successful students should have. I didn't put my intuition into words, I waited until I watched the video.

  • In the previous page, there said predict what you are about going to listen, I then just followed the vibe and stayed silent, until I came here.

  • Successful academic students have a charismatic solid character and behave elegantly towards themselves and other students. Hello,
I am Khadijah, (Kha-dee-jah), from Libya. I am 27 years old, working as a research assistant in microbiology field and new English teacher. I look forward to improving my English professional level, so I can start looking for scholarships in my fields.

  • Be human!

  • "It's human and machine VS the problem"!

  • Thank you.

  • Mine is like Faridah's. I think I'll be more engaging with my students.

  • I follow Faridah's, too. I love my role of the empathy, relationship, and support type.

  • Aha, I see! So in the empathy role type, for example, people could be more empathetic and heartfully connected to their job, as AI does the other-part-consuming-job. Lovely!

  • I am a research assistant at university and an English teacher, so I work in the education field. As I have looked at the role types, I have realized my role falls under the empathy, relationships, and support role type. I provide guidance and so much support for students during their course. I love my role type!

  • Khadijah Fawzi made a comment

Yes, sure. I am getting new insights.

  • I think my thoughts were similar to her, but I am kinda changing now.

  • I wanna say, I love Alexa, lol!

  • Khadijah Fawzi made a comment

It is an incredible discovery! I read with an aha-surprise. AI in agriculture has amazed me, really.

  • I am so new to this, AI.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • I leant the difference between AI and automation. Wow, I just learnt it here. Strong and weak AI. In the previous page, one educator in short explained that weak AI is the present AI and strong AI is the future form of AI. That is new information for me absolutely.

  • I got some answers right and wrong. I know I still need to educate myself. Thank you!

  • I find your comments accurate.

  • Khadijah Fawzi made a comment

I can relate to these people. I am also afriad that I might have no appropriate job in the future because of AI.

  • Khadijah Fawzi made a comment

We'll have more effectively done jobs, time saving.

I think we might be more dependant on AI than necessary which it causes us to feel non-effective enough to function healthily doing our daily jobs or causing us to not be motivated enough to work.

  • Informative, thanks!

  • I started to use an app for period recorder. I really like this app a lot! I got really busy with my life, work, and the academy. I almost forgot to check on myself.

  • Automation: g-mail, haha!
    Al: x-ray.

Automation doesn't require orders in order to work, while Al does need pre-orders in order to function and give you inputs.

  • Facebook! It suggests friends to make, posts to interact with, some pages to like based on your footprint there absolutely that can change anytime you transform it.

  • Speech recognition in Google.

  • Sure all of you know the option on Facebook story's settings that allows you to make subtitles for the video you are going to post. I use this a lot when I am posting a video of me speaking in English or of my students. I really love this. Actually I use it for my English improvement. I test my pronunciation. So, I compare the subtitles to my spoken speech and...

  • I am thankful to you, @MarinoDeVito. Sharing this makes me feel like I belong somewhere.

  • I always hear about it in movies and TV programms. It sticks in my mind. I believe it's an incredible thing nowadays.

Mm, I'm enrolled in this course to learn about the positive & negative impacts it has on our lives. Future Learn course are always rich!

  • Khadijah Fawzi made a comment

    I think it is fun!

  • Hello again, I'm Khadijah from Libya. I already took two courses with you, and now I am in my third one. I LOVE learning and am so much interested in this unique platform.

  • Khadijah Fawzi made a comment

How to pick up the certificate of this course? I didn't have it yet.

  • I think mine still needs improvement, but it is a good start though..

  • Khadijah Fawzi made a comment

I feel at ease at the moment.

  • I love these audios a lot!

  • She could set up a meeting, not for work, but to express why she did this and she wanted to communicate rather than that nervous attitude. She couls hear her partners back, and they could hear her, as well.

  • I like here that one simple step I can make is just listening to the other person and not preparing what I have to say, only listening. Giving people space to express themselves is a great strategy, too.

  • I am still struggling.

  • It happened, yea! I had a challenging conversation with my proffessor who teaches me and at the same time we work in the same organization/university. He didn't hear me, and I didn't hear him. It was a mess.

If I'd do better at that moment of argument, I'd not respond back to him and stay silent instead, lol
He's toxic! I feel exhausted to try...

  • Yes, I agree with her. I think her feedback is logical, although when it comes to applying I am probably going to face failure.

  • I am very shy and always feel other people are focusing a lot on me which make me feel nervous and unstable. Having no chance to participate in communication at work ALWAYS happen with me.

  • Those both wonderful speakers, Ms/Mrs and Mr are I N S P I R I N G!

  • I happen to give no answers to these questions. All I felt is 'I don't know!'

  • Khadijah Fawzi made a comment

I knew I am not which I am doing neither which I like or dislike. I am not identified, that is my origin.

Wow! If it was a kid who would be inertviewed, h/she wouldn't be confused, because they already don't identify themselves with anything that easily.

  • Thank you!

  • Perhaps I could start with girls as my age and who share the same interests as well. I could reach people who are specialists in the field. Who could help me reach them? Umm, I should search, I guess. I don't know at the moment.

  • Thank you a lot for supporting me, @HaeraniEsterSiahaan!

  • 5 out of ten so far. 'Cause I'm new, and I am on my way to development.

  • Bloom's taxonomy- multiple questions types to be involved to suit everybody, reflective journal.

I am going to DEEPLY include reflective journal!

  • Developing inclusive policies = red!
    Creating inclusive cultures = amber
    Implementing inclusive practices = green

  • The advantages perhaps are the familarity they have, that they undergo special conditions. It makes it easier when you work with someone is similar to you. What could make a disadvantage here be the enlargment of one single problem of an andividial to a group that is being dealt by a single teacher. It couldn't be. I don't know.
