  • Dear @FreyaInnes and others, thanks for flagging this. We've switched over to Padlet so you can pin your country to the map.

  • Hi @AlenaAuyoung no, the site we pull this in from appears to have changed, hence the broken link. We will have to remove this link from the course and start another Course Run without, I'm afraid.

    Sorry about this.

  • Hi all, sorry that this exercise step is no longer functioning.

We are working on adjusting this step.

  • John Kerr made a comment

Hi all, I am sorry that the link to the Stolen Shiva timeline is no longer operational. We will explore another link / step to replace this one.

    John

  • Hi @MaggieS, it would appear your browser is causing the issue with not being able to see the captions and or transcripts. Here is the link to the supported browsers versions - https://about.futurelearn.com/browser-support can you try and download another browser from the list?

    John

  • Hi @MarkJackson thanks for spotting. We'll get that fixed.

  • Hi Joanna, thanks for the kind comments. New online courses/programmes are being developed, so keep your eyes pealed. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy this course

  • This has been reported, Rachel, as these comments are totally unacceptable and against the rules of the site.
    John

  • Hi Martin,
This course will be available for you to come back to at any point in the future; it never closes so you have access to the content.
    I hope this helps.

  • Hi Lisa,
I've just tried via Chrome (Version 51.0.2704.84 (64-bit)) and it worked as expected. If double clicking on a white space doesn't work, please click on the red + button at the bottom right of the webpage and it opens a box for you to type and upload.

    I hope this helps.

    John

  • Hi Happy, please see my response to Lisa below.

Can you tell us why you are having a problem with this step?

    John

  • HI Lisa
Can you explain the issue you are having with this step?
I've just tried to upload an image on the site and it worked well. Via a Mac and using Safari Browser.

I just double clicked on a blank part of the page and the options came up.

    Thanks
    John

  • Oliver/Edward,
If you cant follow Live on Google+ or Youtube then I suggest you try and follow via Twitter. The team are doing a great job at keeping the Twitter feed updated as the Q&A is progressing.

    John

  • HI Miriam,
I believe you will have indefinite access to this course and material after the course has ended :)

    John (Host)

  • Hi Edward,
You can post up your questions here and the team will do their best to answer them. We will pull the video off YouTube shortly after the live session has concluded and add it as a step below this one. If you have not managed to catch the Week1 hangout, then the clip is just below the hangout step in Week 1 -...

  • Hi David,
Click on the Google+ link in the text of the step. It should take you to a video page and give you a count down until we go live. Come back just before we go live and click play, the stream should start. Same for the YouTube link.

    I hope this helps.
    John (Host)

  • Lisa, this is fantastic. Well done.

    John (Host)

  • Hi Susan,
Which browser and device are you accessing the video from?

    John (Host)

  • Great to hear that, David.
    John (Host)

  • Great idea, Luc. Linguistic rainbow. Love it!

Would you like to set up an open group based on this course and perhaps we can advertise that a learner led Facebook group is up and running?

Access to this course will remain open long after the course has ended so you can always come back here.

    Thanks
    John (Host)

  • Hi Richard,
If you just click on the Google+ link provided and hit play, the stream should start once the educators go live at 1:00pm (BST) sharp.

I hope you can make it.
    John (Host)

  • Hi Hedwig,
All you have to do is click on the Google+ link we have provided, then hit the play button. The stream will kick in once the team starts.

    Thanks
    John (Host)

  • Hi David,
Thanks for the feedback. There are many reasons why we use two camera's and two shot's of the presenter. It's very common practice for a 'talking head' clip.

I hope the focus and emphasis is with the content rather then the clip style.

    Thanks
    John (Host)

  • Hi Peter and welcome back to another University of Glasgow course.
