  • I'm a Futurelearn student
    for a period of time. Most of the courses I have done are mostly Food and the body. It is encouranging to know about Food and the body.

  • I have been learning about Food and the body inorder
    to know about how food makes the body grow and produce.? To know whether all food do the same thing in the body.

  • I think the baby depends on the type of food the mother feeds on. For the baby mothers milk matters. Also what kind of food the mother eats. I think it is always good to know from Doctors what is good for the feeding baby.

  • Breas t milk is the best foodfor the baby. Mothers milk has nearly all nutrients in her milk.

  • In one way or another food is processed. To my understanding whatever is removed from fresh food is usually the protective cover of the part that is eaten.

  • To my own opinion, I feel Food should be eaten whole without processing it and that is the time when its nutrients power would be assed. I think like corn, beans, grains should be eaten whole because every part of them is good for the body.

  • I belief there is a lot to be learnt about food and the body. This is a very important subject because one cannot function unless he/she eats the right food. I would suggest more learning in school, adult learning even at UNIVERSITY LEVEL. I have tried to eat what is recommended and I feel good today in my body. That is why I have been learning these courses.

  • Food must be eaten to sustain the body.

  • I love to eat good food. Therefore I always try to eat because I have learnt that food is the one that makes the body grow and function.

  • Food addiction is a hard subject because it happens to some people and others not. It is not clear why it is like that.....

  • I would point out that food addiction is there and those who do not care the result of eating too much would end up over eating. But with the understanding of the result of eating too much one would have control.

    I would suggest that Government would help the farmers to enrich their farms in whatever way naturally like digging and putting manure and Fertilizer so that crops would grow well with no insects or weather destruction.

  • This is opening the eyes learning. I have purposed to keep on doing exercises and seeking guidance from my tutors. I remember I did a program that I call it Simple Body Function Exercises and I know how good the exercises are. Today my body revived and I can do even heavy work.

  • For the elderly to be able to eat healthy they surely need help of somebody to do shopping for them.

  • When one is old, hungry and cannot be quick to go to the market and get food to cook and eat, it becomes heavy job for the elderly to do. Only if there are some help given to the elderly about their shopping even cooking.

  • Meat is one of the foods that has got most Protein needed in the body. Again the food that is given to the cattle is full of chemicals. I would suggest that food for the cattle that is mostly eaten by human beings can be raised naturally so that when people eat the meat they would be strong to raise more cattle for people to feed on and be strong.

  • I would say I am active. Nearly everyday I have at least half hour to do Exercises. I have created 2 exercise programs (aerobics) . They have made me to be Active.My body revived from arthritis plus diseases.

  • This has been a very good week for me because I have learnt more about VD and its many functions in the body have learnt about doing exercises that even walking for 30 minutes will do great thing in the body. This encouraged me because I do short exercises many times a day and they have done my body good.

In the process I tried to put all together and I created my own Exercises that I do to today and the special food to eat I find it an INVESTMENT that made my whole body recover.   • To my own opinion, every child from age 5 should be taught simple exercises to their level so that as they grow their bodies would be able to adapt fit body in their life.

  • This has encouraged me because I usually walk and do exercises at age 70 years. I also eat Natural Food from the soil. In my food I eat any Natural food that will give me Protein + Carbohydrates + Vegetables + water. I also do simple exercises. I make sure I drink enough water in a day.

  • I have been trying to lift heavy bottles of water, also 2 tins of beans and I find that my arms are firm and strong.

  • i am relatively active' I do a bout 3-5 simple exercises. One of them takes 20 minutes and I enjoy it so much. I have arthrities but from when I created it, my body became stable. Today I can sleep, work even sleep. Exercises are good and eating healthy.

To my own experience, I would love sharing what I have and when I finish the journey here on earth, I go in Peace. I belief there is a record where people go after death.

    To my own research and practice I have come to know that doing Simple Body Exercises can revive the body making it stand the wearing and tearing of the body. This discovering made me produce a DVD calling it "SIMPLE BODY EXERCISES'. these have made me to stand upright once more.

  • As I become old, I feel my joints stiff and I do not know what causes it. I always think it is because I am growing old. In the process of my feelings I try very much to do Simple Body Exercises that make me feel flexible.

  • @SharonBishop There is a great difference in taking Fish oil supplement to eating oily fish, walnuts because oily fish and walnuts are natural and have more nutrients.

  • I have proved the benefits of Natural food with my body. Natural food is power in the body.

  • I love to hear how some of the foods like berries are good for the body. This point makes me be ready to look for them for my body; also for my family. I have proved the benefits of food food in the body.

  • Even if one is not able to walk or stand, one can do simple exercises lying on bed /floor or sitting on a chair; these can do great to the body. That is my own invention.

  • This is amazing about aging. I am 70 years but I have a charge of doing some activities. I developed my own simple body exercises when I was like 60years and I changed my way of eating that has made me to be able to do things walking, sleeping etc. I support activities as part of life.

    I can live to 100 years and able to see and hear as well as to do simple tasks.
    I am 70 and feel as if I am 50 years.

  • Millet is also very nutriteus grain used to make stiff porridge and drinking porridge
    for everybody in the family.

  • I know of Millet grown in our country- Kenya which is widely used to make Polidge. According to our parents reports they say it is a very Nutriteus food to make porridge especially for babies and to make stuff porridge to eat with stew.

  • I do not choose gluten because I do not know the benefits in my body.

  • I have been eating food not generally super foods but Nutriteous food, good for the body.
    Everyday I eat mixed dry beans, mixed vegetables, 2 to 3 different fruits. I also drink tea ie milk + water+tea leaves + Honey or without sweetener.These have improved my body greatly.

  • First of all the food I call super foods are whole foods from the soil and not processed. Most of my meals must have: Whole grains + legumes + vegetables of different types- e.g. cabbages. I also include legumes, cassava + water.

    I have been eating Natural Foods, none of them being processed and they are healthy. These foods are very good for the body.
    They have almost every nutrient for the body. Even today I keep it up for my body.

  • I find Food and the body complicated though that is what we use to build our bodies. Look forward to understand.

    If Government who guides people on what is good could guide people on what to grow and consume, there would be better results to people.

  • I would suggest if the food would be tested by planting them naturally and put manure/fertilizer. When grown and harvested see whether it would be more NUTRITEUS for the body.

  • I would say that Knowledge is power. Therefore what is proven to be worthy to use for the body is good.

  • I have been taking whole food with no supplements. Even today when I am old I prefer whole food particularly from the farm.

  • I would prefer real, whole food to vitamins supplements. Real food has alot of nutrition which is the right thing for the body. Whole food will make the body function the way it is supposed to be.

  • Food is very powerful when it goes in the body. When one is eating should consider not to over eat. Some food when eaten alot they make one fat, constipated. Know food is the one which makes a baby grow to a big person. It also makes one drunk etc
