Global Professional Development - Consultancy

Engage across disciplines to analyse consultancy and leadership tasks

Developed in partnership with the Chartered Management Institute, the Global Professional Development Consultancy program offers you the practical leadership skills to critically evaluate and develop solutions to complex business problems across all sectors.

Students who successfully complete the program and meet the CMI evidence requirements, will gain a L7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership and a L7 Award in Professional Consulting which will enable students to apply for Chartered Manager status via the qualified route, once the other entry criteria have been met.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this program, you should be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of how to identify client needs and be able to develop appropriate research strategies for consultancy interventions.
  • Appraise the importance of expert tools and techniques to a consultant.
  • Evaluate the relationship between strategic management, leadership and leadership styles and principles that support organisational ethical and value-based approaches to leadership.
  • Evaluate the application of leadership strategies and the impact on organisational direction.
