Evaluate individual learning styles for effective training design and delivery

Build an in-depth and applied understanding of the training cycle and how approaches to training can be applied, according to context and requirements. Discover how learning and skills are acquired and test your own learning styles.

You will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the technical approaches to training design through the application of hierarchical task analysis and new areas of organisational training, to include mindfulness. You will also have the opportunity to experience this in practice. Knowledge of evaluation training and feedback mechanisms will be developed and applied.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this program you should be able to:

  • Evidence an in-depth understanding of individual learning styles and apply this to practice

  • Critically evidence a sophisticated understanding of training processes and be able to conduct a training needs analysis

  • Evaluate and analyse knowledge of individual learning styles, skill acquisition, for effective training design and delivery

  • Critically evaluate the use of a variety of training methods for the appropriate context and training evaluation methods

  • Evaluate and analyse the differences/similarities between coaching, counselling and mentoring

  • Evidence working within ethical guidelines with sensitivity and integrity
