Learn how to create and implement effective strategies

On this program you will have the opportunity to learn about the systematic analysis of the factors associated with an organisation’s external and internal environment that provide the basis for maintaining optimum management strategies and practices. You will have the chance to explore critical business issues such as corporate values and corporate social responsibility.

You will also discover concepts, frameworks and techniques of strategic decision-making to enable you to assess competitive conditions, evaluate corporate capabilities and identify the means for businesses to establish sustainable competitive advantage in its industry.

Who will you learn with?

Dr Federico Topolansky is an Assistant Professor in business strategy and international business strategy at Coventry University, a position he took up in October 2019.

Dr Onjewu lectures in business strategy at Coventry University with research interests in transformational strategies, entrepreneurship, international business and the fourth industrial revolution

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Critically evaluate a range of key theories associated with international business strategic management process

  • Critically review and develop approaches associated within a global organisational context

  • Evaluate the importance and the problems inherent in strategic choices and how to implement those strategies

  • Explore the extent to which corporate social responsibility is central to a given organisation’s strategic intent
