      Welcome to the Digital Skills for Work and Life course. First, we'll look at staying safe online, and meet the team who will be helping you through the course.

    • Digital for life

      We will look at the meaning of the term ‘digital’, and how it is increasingly integrated into our lives.

    • Digital for work

      We will look at how digital technology is changing the world of work, and how that is creating new challenges and opportunities.

    • Weekly roundup

      We will review what you have learnt in Week 1 of the course.

  • Week 2

    Developing a growth mindset

    • How our brains help us learn

      We will look at the meaning of the term ‘brain elasticity’, and how it helps us to learn new things.

    • Different mindsets

      We will look at two different mindsets, a growth mindset and a fixed mindset, and how these different mindsets can affect our actions and outcomes.

    • Approaching setbacks

      We will look at how we can re-frame challenges and setbacks to see them as an opportunity to learn and progress.

    • Weekly roundup

      We will review what we have learnt in Week 2 of the course, and look at further learning opportunities.
