In this video, you meet our patient, Tineke, and her partner Erik.
In 2016, Tineke was a 49-year-old active police officer in the Netherlands. Although she had smoked in her youth, it was never more than one pack of cigarettes per year. After a skiing holiday, she visited her general practitioner due to a persistent cough. An X-ray revealed pneumonia in the right lower lobe of her lung, and she was prescribed antibiotics. However, the pneumonia did not clear up, so she was referred to the hospital. In this video, we revisit the initial series of treatments she underwent.
