CHIE ADACHI: I hope you’re excited to be taking part in this activity, which is all about reflecting on your professional practice and developing your own transformative plan. The plan template I’ve included in this step lists a set of questions designed to prompt you to reflect on your knowledge and skills, and how you might apply these in your future practice. This is where you bring together everything that you learnt in this course and is that planning your short and long term goals. Try and keep your plan as specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely or smart as possible. Once you have created your plan, I encourage you to share it on the Padlet wall we prepared for you.

Read the plan of at least one other professional and provide feedback on the Padlet. In return, you can ask to receive feedback on your plan. When giving or providing feedback, keep in mind our 3C philosophy and strive to remain curious, constructive, and compassionate at all times. I think this activity nicely sums up the idea of collaboration and team teaching that we’ve been talking about throughout this course and trust that you will find it useful. Good luck. I hope you enjoy this task and look forward to reading your plans and discussing this activity with you in the comments.
In this course we’ve explored some of the key issues, trends and theories transforming the future of digital learning.
Now it’s time to consider how you will apply these to your professional practice by producing your own professional practice plan.
This activity is designed to encourage you to reflect on what you’ve learnt and apply it in relation to your professional context.
By following the prompts in this template, you should be able to identify clear actions and pathways for future improvement.
If you choose to, you can also share your plan to receive feedback from others by participating in a peer review. This will allow you to both provide and receive constructive feedback on your and other learners’ plans.
Sharing and discussing your plan in this activity is one way of engaging with others’ perspectives to build connections that enable transformation to occur.

Your task

Watch the video from Chie to find out more about the task. When you’re done:
  • post any questions about this task in the comments (if you see a question you can answer, please use reply to respond)
  • download and complete the Reflective Professional Practice Plan template
  • paste your completed plan onto this Padlet wall to share and exchange feedback with others, review previous posts for inspiration1. That means taking to time to leave a comment on someone else’s plan and ‘liking’ plans that resonate with you.
    • see the Padlet guide for further assistance, should you need it.
In the comments, discuss what you learned from this activity.
  1. Due to the number of contributions from learners, we have created a new Padlet wall as the original has been overwhelmed and is now very slow to load.
