How Peer Review Works on FL Platform

Peer review process explained

Peer review activity is an opportunity for you to share your analysis in BlobToolKit with your peers within the learning community on this course and use their feedback to develop your ideas further.

Please read the instructions below for how to submit your peer review assignment, give and receive feedback:

  • You will need to follow the assignment guidelines given, write down about your work in BlobToolKit (maximum 500 words) and submit it by clicking on Submit button.
  • After you submit your assignment, it will be randomly allocated to another learner on this course (who has also submitted their own assignment).
  • That learner(s) will send you some feedback on your assignment, and the feedback should again relate to the assignment’s guidelines
  • The work and the feedback will remain PRIVATE between the two of you (the only other people who will be able to access it are the course administrators, but they will not share it).

As any learner, who has submitted work, may review more than one piece of work, you may receive more than one review.

We, your educators on this course, encourage you to keep your work and any reviews that you receive, for your further reflection and improvement of your initial work and ideas.

Please also be aware that we don’t have control over submissions to FutureLearn’s peer review system, and anyone can join the course and submit an assignment. If you receive an assignment to review that is obvious spam, not related to the course content, please flag FutureLearn by pressing ‘Report’ on the same page. Also, if you receive a submission to review that is not relevant to the course and does not appear to be an analysis of the Corchorus olitorius blob plot, feel free to mark it as ‘N/A’ and send your review. You will then be offered another opportunity to review.
