Wrap of the week

Ends the week explaining how important people are in keeping food safe.
Thank you for joining our course and I hope you have found it informative so far. I am sure when you signed up for this course, you didn’t realise just how important food safety is, especially personal hygiene!

We started the week showing you the critical control points, as you will see, all of these critical control points are managed by people.

HACCP

Because most cross contamination of food occurs through people; not maintaining good hygiene when working with food, not practicing safe food practices, storing food incorrectly or at wrong temperatures, it is important that we start with the PEOPLE when we talk food safety.

Personal hygiene is critical to ensuring food safety, wearing the correct uniform, adhering to correct personal hygiene rules, and following workplace food safety standards, will not only ensure that we keep food safe but will also protect our customers and the business.

Coming up you will find a self-assessment that you can test your knowledge.
