What the Next Three Weeks are About and Who are Your Educators?

Content of the weeks to come and meet you educators

What the next three weeks are about?

In week 1, we’ll consider what we mean by genomics, where it shows up in different curricula and how practical activities can help bring the topic alive in the classroom.

In week 2, we’ll look at genomics beyond the biology classroom, including where it links to other subjects, how to discuss and highlight careers in genomics, and the benefits of visitors and school trips.

In week 3, we’ll be setting you the task of creating your own genomics activity or lesson plan. First, we’ll highlight some of our favourite places to find resources and how to evaluate them to make sure they’re accurate and engaging.

Meet your Educators

We, your Educators on this course, will be present during the next three weeks of the course, following and joining in the discussions from time to time and sharing our expertise with you. On this journey together, we will be helping each other to learn. We will also be looking at your feedback, which will serve to improve the course.

At the end of each week, we provide a written summary of the week’s learning. We will also email you with a round-up of the week’s learning. We are looking forward to learning with you.
