Students discuss their procrastination

Three students tell about their tendencies to procrastinate when they should be studying.
For me, I’m procrastinating when I’ve got a paper to write or an assignment to write and I just can’t work out how to start or what it is that I need to be writing. And rather than starting, that’s when I go out, put it off, and go and talk to people instead. For me, there are two big reasons that keep me from studying. The first one is my thoughts get all over the place, because I have other things to do besides studying. And the second one is I see a big piece of text that I already read three or four times, so I think what’s the point of reading it one more time again? And that keeps me from studying.
I sometimes listen to music while doing my assignment, and then I start to look for more music.
Well, I have deleted the social media apps that I have on my phone, and the second thing is I give my phone to a fellow classmate so I can’t look at it again. I think the best way to keep focused is to keep it as simple as possible, so I always put non-relevant stuff away and close the websites which I don’t need, only open the relevant study materials.
