Hello to all who want to become future-proof managers with the help of human resource management. Welcome back to this MOOC and to this session on HRM outcomes. My name is Anna Bos-Nehles and I will guide you through this session. In the last session on HRM systems, you concluded that you cannot use the same HR practices for all organizations but that HRM systems need to fit the context and the goals that the organization aims to achieve. Today, we are going to talk about HRM outcomes. We will discuss, to reach the right outcomes, we first need to ask ourselves, Outcomes for what? And outcomes for whom? To answer these questions, we need to understand what organizations aim for. What are the objectives?

To do so, we’re gonna have a look at the Balanced Scorecard and discuss that organization will have multiple goals at the same time that HRM stakeholders may have conflicting goals and that we can use different HRM solutions to reach these goals. dr. Anna Bos is assistant Professor in HRM at the University of Twente. Her research interest lies in the role of line managers towards HRM implementation effectiveness and innovative behaviours. In this video, Anna introduces you to this session’s topic: HRM Outcomes.
