Tips from the HR managers

Always be curious about your people, about the developments in your surroundings I expect everyone to have a basic understanding of IT skills. It was already, but it will be even more important in the upcoming years. We strongly believe that employees do not leave organizations, but they do leave their mangers. Therefore, it’s crucial that they have people skills. So it’s HRM first, second and third. It is very important that people develop their adaptive skills. I’ve learned that in your department, you need a strong person, who is really into systems, get the access to the people-oriented and development-oriented subjects and discussions on the table.

They have a huge impact on the development and the well-being of their teams. The solution that somebody made up yesterday can be already an old solution for tomorrow. So we need people who keep on thinking critical and creatively. It’s about developing your employees. It’s about the way you lead. It’s about leading by example. I think we’re in this movement where we go from human resources to resources of humans, which means that we make sure that we develop talents from the perspective of the talent and not just from the perspective of the organization. It’s more HR skills as it is HRM knowledge that I really do believe is becoming more important for leaders and managers.

I also believe that it’s about personal traits and that is empathy and be innovative and beside of that have a lot of energy.
