This week, Prof Shyh-Hsiang Lin from Taipei Medical University will give a lecture on Neurodegeneration, Metabolic Syndrome and Dietary Patterns.

He will discuss the impact of modern lifestyle on neurodegenerative diseases, including dietary risk factors, Alzheimer’s disease, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, gut microbiota, and the connection between food and the brain. He mentions how the modern lifestyle, including long hours of work, stress, and abnormal dieting, can negatively affect the body’s functions as we age.
