Overview of week one

In this first week, we’ll explain the four steps of the Peer Leadership Development Programme, who can join and how it works. You can also download a course booklet here.

We’ve already told you a little about ourselves as course leaders and why personalised care matters to us.

It’s important that you get comfortable with learning through FutureLearn, so we’ll share some top tips including how to create your own profile.

Finally, there’s an opportunity to introduce yourself, and a short video that summarises how the NHS works and how it’s changing. In week two, this will lead us on to considering why the NHS needs to change.
