How do you wish to develop as a person and as a worker? What kind of activities and tasks in the workplace inspire you and motivates you to get better at them? What opportunities in the workplace do you wish you could grab? Your potential is there, but may be limited by your time and motivation. Spend your time wisely and develop yourself in ways that keeps your motivation high.

Reflect on:

Reflect on inspiring opportunities, activities, and tasks offered at the workplace or offered at other jobs you might want to apply for in the future. Are you willing spend the time and effort to make yourself a good candidate for those opportunities, activities, and tasks? If you are, then make a plan for how you are going to achieve that.

To do:

Write down in your worksheet what your short- and long-term goals are for your personal and professional development. Try, if you can, to be concrete with steps to take, skills to learn, persons to ask for help, due dates, etc. Try to set realistic goals; start small and evolve. Don’t get discouraged if a step is delayed or fails, just go back to your plan, revise it and try again. Make sure to note your progress towards your goal as it can be motivating to see the plan progressing.
