We hope that you have enjoyed the first week of this course. You should now have a better understanding of the different types of challenges in creating a vaccine, how vaccines are developed and manufactured and why there is an urgent need for a COVID-19 vaccine.
Next week we will discuss how vaccine safety is assessed, how vaccine efficacy and effectiveness is measured and take a further look at the development of a COVID-19 vaccine.
