I hope you’re enjoying learning more about the wellness industry, what is shaping our thinking about wellness, and how rich with opportunity this landscape really is. I also hope that through your journey of discovery you’re being encouraged to think more about the areas of wellness that both inspire and excite you, and where you could add to this dynamic marketplace on a professional level– be that starting a business, becoming an expert or practitioner in a particular field of wellness, or finding a job working for an incredible company within the wellness industry. But more on that in the remaining courses within this expert track.

We’ll be exploring these exciting, potential career paths within the wellness industry to help you get a better handle of what the right direction is for you. Or, if you’ve already started your journey, how you can take your career or business to the next level and reach your goals more quickly. However, before we do that, let’s focus on how you can use insights and intelligence to boost your understanding of the industry in order to make more informed decisions about your career or business. In particular, we’re going to look this week at how trends can arm you with the tools needed to unlock opportunities and plan for the future.
111.2
To illustrate just how important understanding trends can be we’ll first introduce you to how and where you can spot and track them before going on to cover the different types of trends that exist, and how they can be translated into meaningful and practical insights that are relevant to your business or career. You might not have given much thought to trends in a professional capacity before. But even if you haven’t, if you look closely at your own lives, you’ll quickly spot them all around you and the ways in which they influence your behaviour. Take a moment to think about the things that you’ve purchased recently, the TV shows you’re currently watching, or the way in which you’ve styled your home.
161.3
No doubt all of these have been influenced by a specific market trend. The companies that sold you these products or services will have used the insights that formed these trends to inform their creation process. By the end of this week, you’ll be able to apply the same insights and knowledge to your own business or career. And you’ll be able to answer questions like, how do I communicate with the consumer of tomorrow, where are some of the most exciting high-growth opportunities over the next two, five, and ten years, what impact have current world events had on people’s lifestyles and values around wellness, and how can I cater to or leverage those shifts. So let’s go ahead and dive in.

Catch up with founder of Welltodo, Lauren Armes, who’ll share details about the themes you’ll be exploring this week and how they apply to your own business or career.
