Gain insights into three emerging trends that are disrupting traditional business practices

The Business Futures program covers three emerging business trends – the Sharing Economy, Sustainable Business through Green HR, and Omni-channel shaping retail and supply chains. Each of these are disrupting traditional business practices, offering huge potential for enterprises that are prepared to respond to these trends.

This program will ensure you’re versed in each of these areas, so that you will have the knowledge to create change in your own workplace and consider how these trends might affect the future of work.

The Business Futures Program is accessible on desktop, tablet or mobile and delivered in bite-sized chunks, providing a flexible way to enhance your knowledge in understanding what drives the sharing economy, how to think sustainability through Green HR, and what is shaping and disrupting retail and supply chain.

Academic credential program

When you complete all three courses in the program, and upgrade to quality for a Certificate of Achievement, you will be eligible to undertake a final assessment course. This assessment can lead to the award of 12 credit points towards an approved RMIT University College of Business Master’s degree, including the Master of Commerce or Master of Human Resource Management.

What skills will I learn?

The Business Futures Program has been designed for anyone looking to improve their business skills and increase their knowledge of business trends. Completing all three courses in this program will enable you to

  • Understanding contemporary international business issues and their evolution from a sustainability perspective;
  • explain the principles and practices of international business and examine the complexities affecting various stakeholders;
  • understand the range of processes and institutions affecting international business within the globalised economy;
  • and assess the socio-political, ethical, regulatory and environmental issues multinational corporations in the global marketplace.

Courses on this program

3 courses + 1 assessment

To get an award you will need to upgrade all courses on this program, then qualify for a Certificate of Achievement on each course. To qualify you need to do at least 90% of each course and score an average of 70% or above on any tests.

Once you have qualified for a Certificate of Achievement on every course you will be able to take a final assessment course. Pass the final assessment course to earn 12 credits, applicable to RMIT's Master of Commerce or Master of Human Resource Management, subject to meeting Minimum Entry Requirements..

This program will require 9 weeks of learning, plus 3 weeks of assessment. The total cost for the courses is $297. You will also need to pay £250 GBP to take the assessment.
