The MBA Consultancy Project

This program will give you the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the skills required to undertake a consultancy-based project.

You will have the chance to understand the research required, how to analyse data and receive guidance on writing the final report. Case studies will be used to enhance your understanding of consultancy in real-world business contexts.

A lecturer on the MBA Programme, with a background in NHS Management including large scale consultancy projects. I engage external organisations in partnering MBA students on real consultancy projects

Steve Jewell

I am a lecturer at Coventry University. I teach on the MBA programmes within the Business School. My research interests are employability and research methodology.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion, you should be able to:

  • Critically analyse the literature around a research project
  • Propose a research plan that will allow research objectives to be met within a given time frame
  • Critically analyse, evaluate and present the analysis and findings of research with clarity, parsimony and impact
  • Present to an organisation a set of conclusions and recommendations from a project, including suggestions for future research, if appropriate
  • Critically reflect on future personal development
