Life expectancy has risen in England and whilst people are living longer most are not living in good health. The Global Burden of Disease project, highlighted that musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions are ranked as the highest contributor to poor health. The MSK ranking has not changed in the latest most recent Global Burden of Disease report 2019, . As some MSK conditions are preventable and the early detection and treatment of others can improve a person’s quality of life, there is more that can be done to reduce the unnecessary burden from MSK conditions. Most MSK conditions can be prevented or self-managed with the right support, access this training to find out more about MSK and what you can do to enable people to maintain and improve musculoskeletal health at every stage of life. The module is aimed at students with an interest in MSK, health care professionals, academics and public members who may wish to learn more about maintaining good MSK health.

The course is free to access, covered in 2-hour sessions over 3 weeks. There is a small charge for the issue of a CPD certificate to cover administration costs.
