Summing up and looking ahead

Well done on completing the second week of the course. This week we’ve explored the devasting impacts of domestic violence and abuse and learned how to recognise potential victims.

Understanding the factors that contribute to DVA as well as the impact that it has on victims, can help you to recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse.

What do you think?

How have you found this week of the course?

Next week, we’ll learn how to provide support to victims. This includes how to start a conversation about DVA as well as the more practical aspects of providing support, such as gathering and recording information and how to put a safety plan in place.
