The Impact of Nursing


Take a journey from the past to the future of nursing with this four-week course from the University of Liverpool.

You’ll explore nursing’s impact on our quality of life today, learning with leading figures like Jane Cummings, Chief Nursing Officer for England, and Andrea Spryropolous, President of the Royal College of Nursing.

Clinical Supervision with Confidence

Healthcare professional discuss notesAre you a clinical or educational supervisor of trainee doctors? Enhance your supervision skills with this two-week course from the University of East Anglia.

Mapped to competences within the Academy of Medical Educators’ framework, it’ll help you deliver effective feedback to students and trainees, and identify any concerns with sensitivity, tact and firm action.

The Enterprise Shed: Making Ideas Happen


This free online course from Newcastle University will help you put your entrepreneurial ideas into action. It’s designed to recreate the atmosphere of a shed – the kind of place where we do our best thinking.

Over four weeks, you’ll meet makers, tinkerers and experienced entrepreneurs, and start developing your own entrepreneurial mindset.

Environmental Justice


Different people in different places contribute differently to environmental change – and they feel the effects of this change differently too. This University of East Anglia course discusses ways to address this injustice.

Over 10 weeks, you’ll look at various environmental issues, exploring how we can strike the right balance between the needs of nature, various stakeholders today and future generations.

Assessment for Learning in STEM Teaching


This six-week course is designed to help STEM teachers at all levels get to grips with Assessment for Learning. You’ll have the chance to try new things in your laboratory or classroom, and enjoy your teaching more.

It’s been developed by the Science Learning Network in partnership with the University of Leeds, and gives you the opportunity to learn with two leading experts in STEM education and assessment – Dylan Wiliam and Christine Harrison.

Lips and Teeth: Korea and China in Modern Times


Korea and China are often described as being as close yet as different as “lips and teeth.” In this free online course from Yonsei University in Seoul, you’ll explore the two countries’ complex relationship – from the 1500s to the present.

Over six weeks, you’ll get a historical perspective on China’s wealth and power today, and how this is likely to be felt across Asia – and the globe – in future.
