Any basic genetic textbook would be instructive reading for this chapter. Even the chapters on genetics from secondary school text books would be good.

The Wikipedia entry on Mendelian inheritance also offers a good overview. For an even less technical introduction than that offered in previous chapters of this MOOC, try the Wikipedia article Introduction to genetics.

There are many interesting videos on the basic principles of genetics. One particularly nice one is An Introduction to Mendelian Genetics. The video offers a refresher on some of the most basic genetic principles.

Another interesting and longer video, 16:03 minutes, from Bozeman Science, includwa an informative introduction to probability in genetics, as well as problem-solving activity.
