First of all, thanks very much for taking the time to come on to the site. This is intended to give you really small bite-sized chunks of helpful information and resources as you are working at this unprecedented time. I am a registered nurse. And I met Graham a number of years ago when we both worked in intensive care. But this area is really dear to my heart because, like you, I’m feeling a little bit– well, I’m feeling vulnerable at the moment. I am a bit scared about what’s going to happen. I’m wondering about my own health and the health of my family. However, like you, I am still working in the clinical area. And although I am a little bit rusty, I am going back to do some clinical shifts as of next week. So what I’d like to do is take you through, really, three key elements I really hope will help with this work, and also share a number of resources, exercises, tips, and tools that you can access in bite-sized chunks.

In this video, Dr Dorothy Armstrong introduces herself and explains the reasons for producing this resource. Dorothy is a registered nurse, educator and coach. She is Lead Adviser for Scotland’s Ombudsman, Honorary Fellow in Nursing Studies at the University of Edinburgh, Honorary Nurse Consultant with NHS Lothian and Director of DA Professional Limited.
