How much pollution does your country produce?

One tonne of carbon dioxide gas would fill a cube 8.13 metres high, at 15 degrees Celsius and sea level pressure.

Putting this into perspective…

One TONNE of CO2equivalent (CO2e) is:

  • The average emission of a return flight from Paris to New York, per person.
  • Eating over 1,000 beef steaks or 4,100 wheels of camembert!
  • The average carbon footprint per person in the UK is estimated to be around 12 tonnes of CO2 per annum
