Today, we learned a conversation on how to order food at a Korean restaurant. At a restaurant In your country, how do you call for a server? How do you call him/her at a Korean restaurant?

Nattanan : In Thai restaurant, when we call the waiter, we will say “Excuse me”, “Sister”, “Father”, something like that. And in Korea they also call that, too. Or they will say, “Jeogiyo”, “Yeogiyo”, like “Here” or “There”. I still not sure how can I call them, so I usually call “Jeogiyo”

Helene : So, in Denmark when you usually order at the restaurant, you have to wait for the waiter to notice you and call them over just with a hand sign. So I really like the Korean system where you have the bell at the table, so you don’t have to wait for the wait to notice you if they’re really busy. And it’s more comfortable for you. Then you can just call them whenever you want. So I wish we had the bell system in Denmark, too. I see. By now, you should all be able to order food in Korean a restaurant! If you ever visit Korean restaurant, try saying, “please, give me bibimbbap” “please, give me tteokpokki” Thank you.
