Introduce the Course and the Team

Introduce the course and the team, discover a play-based method to teach braille.

Together, we will look at learning through play theory in the first week, learn about LEGO braille Bricks toolkit and concept in the second week and then give practical tools and tips on how to engage learners with Braille bricks.

This course is facilitated at certain key points with recorded videos. There will also be live sessions every month, which we will explain more about in Week 8!

Our goal, this week, is to discover the value and principles of learning through play:

  • Recognise holistic skills developed by children at play

  • Identify the five characteristics of playful learning: joyful, actively engaging, meaningful, iterative, and socially interactive

  • Understand the benefits of learning through play

  • Facilitate learning through play activities

We need your help! Please, join the LEGO Braille Bricks Facebook community and be part of a strong and interactive team of practitioners.

Feel free to share your suggestions and comments at anytime during the course.
