Ready to play “Caterpillar to Butterfly”?

Let's discover the second pre-braille manipulation activity!
Drawing of butterflies made of 1 vertical brick and 2 horizontal on each side.

Let’s try another activity from the category “Manipulation”.

Students will develop fine motor skills and recognize spatial relationships through imagination and storytelling about a caterpillar.

You need to prepare a base plate, twelve random bricks and a bowl. Attach four vertical bricks to the base plate in random locations, leaving enough space between them to add wings.

Let’s play!

  1. Explore the base plate to find the four caterpillars.

  2. Help them turn into butterflies by adding two wings from the bowl: one on each side of their body.

  3. Imagine and tell the story of these caterpillars. What happened? What’s happening now?
