Congratulations!

You have now come to your last week of the first course in the series LearnNoW – Norwegian for beginners A1-A2.
The last three weeks have been indeed very productive.
You’ve got from virtually having no knowledge of the Norwegian language to being able to understand, read, write and speak about simple yet important information in Norwegian.
This week, we build upon what we have already learnt in week 3 to further develop our skills.
The Vidals are settling down and getting accustomed to their new life in Fjordvik and the new neighbourhood.
We will follow Alex, Ben, Cecilie and Dina on their way to work, to the school and to the post office.
We will learn how to ask for directions and how to express time and dates in Norwegian.
The way Norwegians express the time when they speak might be quite different from yours or from the English system, so you will probably need to spend a little bit of time on that topic. But once you have cracked the code, you will see that it is fairly logic.
Summing up the learning goals for this week, we will go through:
What to learn
* Asking for directions

* Time expressions

* Dates and date of birth

* Asking for the time

Main grammar

* Verbs - "Imperative"

* Question words - "Which"
Remember to practise your Norwegian not only on the grammar, but also communicating with your fellow course participants.
By now, you are able to write small messages to them and ask them simple questions about where they live. You can introduce yourself and tell them about where you are from and where you live, you can tell about the kind of house you are living in and which furniture you have.
At the end of this week, you will also be able to tell your date of birth and when and where during the day you do small errands.

If you think about it, that is a lot of information you are now able to communicate in Norwegian. And that after just a few weeks!

Congratulations again!

You are now almost ready to start course 2 in Learn Now, Norwegian for beginners A1-A2.

Keep up the good work and enjoy your week!
