Who are we?
This FutureLearn course is part of a portfolio of learning experiences we already provide ranging from our online blended learning MSc course to the full time in-person specialist level training programme. We are proud to work at the UCL Eastman, one of the worlds largest and leading postgraduate dental schools. We also provide clinical care at UCLH — one of the leading hospitals in the UK.
The over-arching philosophy of our teaching is to try and root it firmly in the evidence, where that doesn’t exist we will give our opinion. Feel free to challenge this as you work through the steps on this course, we value the input of all of our students to help ensure our material is up to date.
Who are we?
Professor Paul Ashley
Paul has been working at UCL Eastman since 1998 and along with Dr Parekh set-up one of the first Professional Doctorate programmes in Paediatric Dentistry and then the blended learning MSc. His research interests include materials for restoring primary teeth, evidence-based dentistry and oral health in sport.
Dr Susan Parekh
Susan has worked in general practice, community dental services and joined the staff of UCL Eastman in 2004. She is passionate about improving knowledge of paediatric dentistry and increasing access to post-graduate education. Her research interests include dental anomalies, particularly enamel and dentine defects and pain management in children.
