Well done on reaching the end of Week 3 of this MOOC, Improving Palliative Care in Care Homes for Older People. Over the last three weeks we’ve covered the relevance of palliative care in care homes, and introduced a six step programme of palliative care that can be used in a care home to provide palliative care for residents and their family members. We’ve provided examples from different European countries about their own experiences of using this intervention, and signposted you to available resources to support your work. We’ve also provided some suggestions for how to keep this change going. We hope you’ve enjoyed learning from each other about the situation in palliative care in care homes in different countries.
We’ve certainly enjoyed working with you and learning from you about your work in this area. Thank you for all the comments and input you have contributed during these three weeks. We recognise that this programme of care will need to be adapted to fit your individual care home and country context and wish you well as you take this work forward.

Congratulations on reaching the end of the course. In this short video, Professor Froggatt will summarise what the course has covered and thank you for taking part.

In the rest of this activity you will find:
