Step into the shoes of a recruiter of the future

How can I help my child understand the jobs of the future? This exercise is a great example to identify future jobs and get prepared for them.

Select a job role from the previous discussion or use the flip book from the previous step to select a job of the future your child is interested in exploring further.

Your child has to imagine they are a recruiter and need to create a job advert for the role they are interested in.

Include:

  • Description
  • Responsibilities
  • Focus on what they think required skills and experiences may be
  • Support your child in being creative in thinking into the future and the type of skills needed. Imagine you’re living in 2030.

When your child has completed this task, spend some time reflecting on how a prospective employee may acquire some of these skills today. This will lead into the next Activity, mark this session as complete and move on.
