Skills Builder Hub: adding your group

Add your group to the Skills Builder Hub, choose a skill and start assessing which step your group is currently at.

The first thing you need to do is to create an account. Signing up to the Hub is free and all of the resources we’ll be highlighting to you are free to use too.

Take a few minutes now to do this.

You’ll be asked to add a group. Use the group you decided on earlier and add their information.

Reflect on your group and choose a skill to get started on. When you’ve chosen the skill, you can start assessing which step your group is currently at.

As you start using the Hub, you’ll be able to save resources to use later, track your group’s progress, and get personalised recommendations.

Over to you

You should now have a simple visual overview of your group’s core skills, which you can use to think about what your next steps will be.

A good starting point is looking at where there are gaps in skills – where it is not the case that most or all of your students can demonstrate a particular step of a skill. Have you identified any gaps in your students’ skills? Could this indicate what would be a suitable starting step for your group?
