Ok then Marie, Charlotte I think we’ve come to the conclusion that, she doesn’t need to go to A & E at this point. All her observations are normal apart from her temperature is a little bit raised. So what I would advise for that is take some paracetamol, Calpol. Go as instructed on the leaflet.

Like I said before, things to watch out for are fast heart rate, fast breathing rate, lethargic. That sort of thing, but I wouldn’t be overly concerned. I would think about getting her in to see her GP tomorrow. Book in this afternoon, if you can get her in. If you can’t get an appointment, you can always call 111 for advice. Or you can go to a walk in centre, that’s always there or urgent care centre whichever one you can get to. Keep her hydrated, don’t put too many clothes on her and don’t keep her blanketed up, just keep her cool. Like I said, lots of fluids.

Rest up and keep her off school for a couple of days apart from the GP, because with an ear infection you don’t want to pass that around. So any questions at all? No that seems fairly clear.
