FutureLearn ramps up its offering of free online courses
16 courses open today on the social learning platform
Nine months after its launch, FutureLearn is significantly increasing its portfolio as 16 free online courses across a range of academic subjects open for registration today. The latest openings bring the number of courses available on the social learning platform from its world-class university partners to 99.
The courses will start between August and November, and they are accessible at no cost to anyone with internet access across multiple devices – computers, mobile phones or tablets. Those signing up will engage with a diverse community of learners from all over the globe who are looking to boost their careers, students looking to prepare for university, or people who simply are interested in learning something new.
The CEO of FutureLearn, Simon Nelson, said: “This represents a major increase in the number and range of courses available for learners to sign up for. We have already run or about to run 83 courses with fantastic participation and satisfaction levels and now are opening up another 16 from 12 partners.
