Skip to 0 minutes and 1 second Well done for reaching the end of week 1. This week, we started to look at data fundamentals– what is data, and how can you start to organise and manage that data in really useful ways for you and your organisation. We also looked at the policy perspective on data. The other thing we started to look at is best practise examples of how to use data for real positive benefit in health and social care. Please keep your comments coming. Coming up next week, we’ll look at data in practise.

Looking back on Week 1

Hello and well done for participating in Week 1 of your course. We know it has been a lot of information but we hope you found it interesting.

We have two weeks more to go and we hope you join us on these where we look more into data in practice and how to and why to do data analytics, respectively.

It would be great to hear your thoughts on the themes and ideas presented in week one. For example:

  • Do you feel more empowered to improve how you use data or does the knowledge make little practical difference?
  • Do the policies mentioned make sense and can you see how they can be put into practice? Or can you identify things that are missing and should be considered?
  • Do you think data sharing and open data are beneficial concepts and do they realise real benefit?

Thanks for all your contributions this week, we look forward to seeing you next week!

We have almost completed Week 1 - just a few more steps to go….

In the next step, we will be able to test what we have learnt this week. You can attempt the quiz as many times as you like until you get the correct answers.
