How can I communicate better with people with learning disabilities?

This video from a UK organization, Change, gives some great examples from people with an intellectual disability on how to improve communication with them.

After watching the video:

  • Read through the transcript file in the See Also section below to review the examples given, such as being clear, listening, or using body language.
  • Select three communication examples given by a person in the video that you feel you or your organization may need to improve
  • Go to our Mentimeter page
  • Type in your three communication challenges.

At the end of the week, we will be showing you a word cloud of the words written from all learners, and asking you to reflect on what you have learned over the week.
